Description

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility.

We are by no means vain enough to suppose that we have exhausted the questions at issue, or that nothing more is to' be said on the subject; but we do believe that the great number of brethren unacquainted with the jurisprudence of the Fraternity will find here useful hints to guide their progress in the study of the laws which govern our institution, and to point out the paths which lead to a correct understanding of the foundations upon which our system of jurisprudence is based.

In the Appendix will be found the various forms required in the business of lodges; among which, we desire to call especial atten tion to those regarding trials and appeals, which have been adopted by the Grand Lodge of New York, and which we deem the best that have yet been presented to the notice of the brethren.

Pre pared originally by our friend and brother, the M.

W. John L. Lewis, they have proved in practice to be all that can be required in the administration of Masonic justice. And, in conclusion, we would say, that if our labors shall prove to be of benefit to our brethren, and aid, even in a feeble degree.
