Description

Everybody today is searching for a way to be truly happy.

This explains why we all find ourselves chasing after more money, more friends, and more stuff. Yet at the end of our lives, we realize that it was all for nothing. So, is the Stoic philosophy the best answer?

It teaches how to become a better person by finding your inner peace and mindfulness.

You needed a change, you wanted to get out of this circle, you wanted to succeed and now finally you found this book. Nobody is in charge of your life. It is only your responsibility to do all the steps towards a better future. That is why you have to ask yourself honestly if you want to achieve something big and to inspire other people. If your answer is positive, then you have to stop wasting your time and implement exercises given in this book.

There are plenty of people who hear about Stoicism and assume that this means that you will never feel the emotion in your life. They assume that no matter what situation comes at them, they will need to remain without emotion and just not respond to it at all. That is definitely not what this is all about. It is fine to feel emotions. It is just fine to feel sad when something goes wrong, or happy when there is a joyous occasion.

The difference here is that you get to decide when the emotions get to come out. For most people, when a situation occurs, they allow that situation to dictate what kind of emotion they are going to be feeling at the time. They do not really think about how that situation affected them, and often they do not think about whether that emotion makes any logical sense or not. They just react.

With Stoicism, you get to decide.

You get to take a step back from the situation that is going on around you and decide whether you are using the right emotion or not. If the situation is first making you feel angry, you can step back and decide if this is really something that is worth your time to be angry about or not. If not, you will quell the emotion and decide to take a different course of action, rather than letting that emotion take over. The emotion of anger, in particular, this can be so important because many people react in a rash and irrational way whenever they feel angry.
