Jealousy destroys what little remains of their love to tragic effect. The Fruits of Their Labors describes a brutal execution of three women's healthcare workers by religious zealots, exemplifying that with God all things are justified - all things are permitted. Finally, in Ashes 'Round the Bend, Frank Hankins discovers nobility before death. When those around him surrender to brutality and selfishness on a doomed, runaway train, he finds solace and purpose in the reposeful personality of a saintly-yet-crippled child condemned to survive.
