Description
Willet, a young woman with abnormally sensitive hearing, is recruited by a 165 year old Astral Master named Gem to help her drive Red Souls out of Los Angeles.
Red Souls attack the minds and emotions of humans who succumb to violence, dread and despair.
The Souls are entering the city in swarms of red smoke through a secret backdoor created by Jat the Deceiver, Lord of the Underworld.
If the backdoor is not found and destroyed, the city will collapse into the Astral Underworld.Gem must form a Circle to fight the astral attacks.
Willet, the Listener, is the key member, but Willet's sister, Audrey, and two men the sisters just met, Dean and TJ, must fight with her.
They are all reluctant at first, not believing Gem, but together, they become the Circle of Augustus, a fighting force powerful enough to frustrate and defeat an ancient evil.
