Description

When you read the Bible, you notice that it contains not only lessons but stories of people who actually lived. Almost all the stories tell about their mistakes, yet they also show how they always revered back to Christ, even when they sinned heavily. In most cases, however, no matter how big their mistakes were, God later quotes them to be friends of His. As I read the Bible over the years and saw how this occurred often, it gave me hope to keep "pressing toward the mark." It made me realize that it's in our human nature to make mistakes, but God will always forgive you if you repent, no matter how badly you messed-up. It made me realize that God will help guide you back to the right path after each mistake if you allow Him to. It made me realize that God's mercy endures forever. Our society has a tendency of throwing our past mistakes in our faces, as if they were unforgiveable. But God is not like that, and He certainly doesn't want us to believe that. The title of this book, Sinner, Turned Role Model, Turned Advocate, describes in a nutshell my journey to becoming a God-fearing man. My poems are written not only to share my experiences, but to share my knowledge to the world of how God operates and how He views us. He loves us unconditionally. He desires to have a personal relationship with each of us. He is the supreme judge, and He declares you as not guilty. I pray that these poems help bring that into clear perception for your life.
