Based on the work carried out by the Aga Khan Development Network over a period of seven years, this book presents a set of guidelines for development around the monuments that are aimed at revitalizing historic neighbourhoods, improving accessibility to heritage structures and rebuilding lives.

The guidelines are based on extensive mapping and discussions with various stakeholders.
