Description

The 'Caledonia' album by Alan Roberts and Dougie MacLean was originally recorded in 1977 at Fairview Recording Studio in Willerby, Hull. Produced by Nigel Pegrum and engineered by Roy Neve and Keith Herd, it was first released in 1978. The album also features Nigel Pegrum on percussion and Jon Gillaspie on synthesizer. Dougie MacLean (OBE) is a Scottish singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. Described by AllMusic as 'one of Scotland's premier singer-songwriters', MacLean has performed under both his own name, and as part of multiple folk bands, since the mid-1970s.
