Leben in Gottes Gegenwart : Beitrage zur Theologie und Anthropologie des Alten Testaments Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

With God's Presence the present volume takes up a keyword from the first volume of my contributions (1993 / 2nd edition 2004), but adds the aspect life to it.

With life in God's presence is meant the life that and insofar as it is led with God. And that, although it is conducted with God, can get into turmoil.

It is one of the strengths of the Old Testament that the dark sides of life are not kept secret, but rather come up for discussion and are 'brightened up' and healed in the light of God's presence.

We begin with two studies on the relationship between the image of man and the concept of the person , which basically explain this connection.

Then the question of man and his position before God is based on three central topics - recognition and empathy , abandonment and salvation and reconciliation and sacrifice - unfolded.

With the closing contributions on God and Space , aspects come up that are no less central to the Old Testament image of God and man.
