Description

Fatima (El Debuch) and her sister Aya (Keilani) are devout Muslims living a quiet life of prayer and piety in Syria.

Fatima's husband has been sent to war, but when news reaches the sisters that he has defected to the rebellious Free Army their lives are thrown into chaos.

Knowing they will be punished if they stay, Fatima and Aya flee for Turkey with a stranger sent by Fatima's husband to keep them safe.

The sisters have already lived through unspeakable horrors and their desperate flight to the Turkish border is a dangerous and uncertain path, but they know what awaits them if they stay in Syria.
