Description

It's Valentine's Day - and while Domeki is showered with chocolates and cards from girls, Watanuki receives none.

To make matters worse, he must also do the usual chores for Yuko, which includes making chocolate cake for her and Mokona, as well as the treats she wants to give away as gifts.

But when Watanuki discovers he has a shy and secret admirer who is not quite human, he finds that chocolates can be more than just sweets...Then, after seeing identical twin sisters pass by in the street, Yuko makes a curious remark: that there are chains that only humans can use to bind others.

Watanuki meets the sisters and senses that the relationship between them is not what it seems...xxxHOLiC crosses over with CLAMP's other hit series, Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE!

In the first half of this volume, Watanuki makes valentines chocolates and ends up with trouble on his hands when Doumeki eats the chocolate intended for Himawari-chan and a Zashiki-Warashi then takes the chocolate along with Doumeki's soul to give to Watanuki for valentines day. The second half focuses on a pair of twins who aren't what they seem to be and how Doumeki and Watanuki help them along. There's also a sweet little asside about a friend Watanuki used to have. The manga's really starting to get into it's pace now, with the dialogue between Watanuki and Doumeki flowing really well and plenty of funny parts as well as things that make you think. Though the 'problem of the week' these is still ongoing, there are a lot of reocuring plot elements, especially in the way that the characters relate to each other and how they respond to the people coming for help, that keep it interesting to read.
