Paperback / softback

Description

Cecil Forsyth's "Tinker, Tailor" is a classical music composition for vocal chorus and piano or orchestra.

First published in 1919, this fantastic choral ballad is a perfect example of Forsyth's musical genius, and its original sheet music is presented here in a modern edition for the enjoyment of musicians and students alike.

Cecil Forsyth (1870 - 1941) was an English composer and musicologist.

He played the viola in various orchestras after attending the University of Edinburgh and Royal College of Music, where he studied together with Hubert Parry and Charles Villiers Stanford.

He is best remembered for his operas "Westward Ho!" and "Cinderella", as well as the choral ballad "Tinker, Tailor".

This volume will be of particular interest to those who enjoy classical music and poetry. Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive.

We are republishing this volume now in a modern, high-quality edition complete with a specially commissioned new introduction and biography of the composer.
