Description

Luca Zingaretti stars in this story based on real events surrounding the fate of Italian soldiers stationed on the Greek Isles during WWII.

When over 500 officers and 11,000 Italian soldiers deployed between Kefalonia and Corfu receive the news that their country has sought an armistice, their thoughts turn to home and a reunion with their families.

But their initial elation soon turns to gloom, however, when they learn that their former German allies have issued them with an ultimatum to surrender or fight.
