In 1 Peter, Peter writes primarily for the readers of the epistle to stand firm in the true grace of God in the face of persecution and suffering.
In 2 Peter, Peter writes to warn Christians about false teachers and to urge them to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
