Gli haiku della tradizione giapponese trattano in endecasillabo, tre versi, temi inerenti la contemplazione della natura.Gli occidentali hanno sovente adattato gli haiku alla loro cultura, ottenendone cosi delle composizioni originali differenti.

In questo caso, l'autore ha ibridato il tema giapponese della natura con quello d'amore, ottenendone degli "haiku d'amore" ciascuno di tre versi.Ovviamente e molto difficile rispettare l'originale costruzione in endecasillabo, data la differente struttura linguistica dell'italiano, cio non toglie che questi haiku riescano a proiettare il sentimento sulla natura, in un parallelo interessante.
