Cry Babies is written by E V Crowe, a graduate of the Royal Court Young Writers Programme Super Group, whose first play, 'Kin', was nominated for the Most Promising Playwright at the Evening Standard Awards, and second Royal Court play, 'Hero', was part of the Olivier Award winning Season in the Theatre Upstairs.

She has received commissions from Manhattan Theatre Club, The Royal Court, The Unicorn Theatre, The Coterie, Manchester International Festival and Chichester Festival Theatre.
