The only reason I really mark this book down a little (I'd give it a 3.75 rating if I could) is that it doesn't go into quite as much depth as the other works in the series, which is entirely understandable considering the loss of key documentation. What the author might have tried is to give a little more context by examining how the Japanese armed forces promulgated new specifications, and how these machines fit into that scheme. Still, there is no denying that the imagery provided is stunning and that if you have the other books in the series you'll probably want this one too.

The color plates and art are great, the information with the aircraft is rather dry, but thats to be expected I suppose. Neat addition to the series.
