Handbook for saline soil management, Paperback / softback Book

Handbook for saline soil management Paperback / softback

Edited by R. Vargas

Paperback / softback

Description

This handbook was prepared to support training on innovative methods for the amelioration and use of salt-affected soils.

Soil salinisation is both the cause and the result of other agricultural problems, and combating salinisation should, together with other measures for achieving sustainable intensification of agriculture, be considered as a basis for food security.

This requires coordination between countries that share common water and land resources; international cooperation is also needed to attract and manage investment in water and land resources.

This publication was produced within the framework of the Implementation Plan of the Eurasian Soil Partnership, a sub-regional affiliation of the Global Soil Partnership.
