Calendar

Description

The images in this calendar are the result of a full year in planning and research.

Then three months of almost daily intense observation.

Countless hours, days, nights and weeks were spent peering into the viewfinder waiting for that precise moment, as the life-cycle progressed.

Often bent, always holding breath to allow eyes to detect and anticipate the slightest of movements, which happened in a flash.

All images are free from manipulation, and are presented as true accounts of the original scenes witnessed. Frogs are under threat from a number of diseases one of which a fungus.

It is thought that the spread of the Chytridiomycota fungus has been facilitated by the effects of global warming.

This project was initiated to celebrate the species, The common frog, and one we may all encounter. Calvendo calendars are premium products - a bit more pricey than others but with added benefits: Our calendars always look beautiful on your wall because we produce them locally with premium paper and sophisticated spiral binding, ensuring easy turning of pages and flat hanging against the wall.

A protective transparent plastic cover sheet provides added stability.
