Description
Grant Green's 1961 album 'Green Street' presented the guitarist in a lean trio setting backed by bass (Ben Tucker) and drums (Dave Bailey). The spare setting and sturdy support created spacious realms for Green to unspool his bluesy lines on originals like 'No. 1 Green Street' and showcase his singular tone on Thelonious Monk's ''Round About Midnight'. This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
