No Immediate Remedy, Paperback / softback Book

No Immediate Remedy Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

No Immediate Remedy is a collection of poems written during the first two years of the Covid pandemic, in that disconcerting and eerie inward space created by lockdowns and social distancing.

The sense of loss and isolation imposed by the pandemic, and the grieving, is represented in the opening section.

This is followed by a commentary on the early months of the invasion of Ukraine viewed through the lens provided by images and snippets on Twitter.

The closing section provides responses to a series of events that took place in the United States over the course of that same Spring and Summer, some of these also devastating.
