This is the first book by this author that I have read and it was an ok read. Her books are classed as sagas which I love. They are mainly based in Liverpool.Back Cover Blurb:Bob Dennison and Edie Brady grew up in the same street of two-up two-down houses. Once they were married, Bob worked hard to make a go of his removal business and soon his family were moving up in the world. But too late he realises his wife and eldest daughter have lost touch with their roots. Edie has changed her name to Edwina and insists that Bob is called Robert. At least Robert's life is enriched by his two youngest children. Together, they seek sanctuary in the kitchen, where their down-to-earth housekeeper and their hilarious cleaner provide the warmth and laughter that are missing from their lives. It is here that they dare to dream a little dream that happiness is waiting just around the corner.
