Paperback / softback

Description

We find Julie Stanford back on Block Island, this time, however, not for a book signing, but to answer questions regarding Penelope Wordsworth's murder investigation. It's been just about three months since her book signing tour when she ran into Harry Wordsworth, her former lover from over twenty years ago.

Harry has had his share of problems over the last few months, as his wife's death was not an accidental one, as they later discovered. The night of her death, she had stolen a boat late at night and supposedly fell overboard and suffered head injuries. The cause of death on the police report was accidental drowning. However, one of the neighbors went to the police and said he saw a man in the boat with her and it looked like foul play. Harry is arrested, as the one prime suspect.

While on the island during one of Julie's visits she runs into Karl Plankard, a love she knew when she was a teen visiting Block Island on summer vacations with her family. Karl is now a very successful attorney and on the island representing Harry. It appears that Julie and Karl have much to catch up on and their attraction is still very much alive.

The island is still lurking with witchcraft and bound by intrigue as we discover Ted Bockner the owner of the Blue Dory Inn and his brother Kevin, are heads of the main island coven.

Love will still prevail on this small island, but many Secrets, Lies and Puzzles will unravel as the townspeople's lives become intertwined in a web of lies.
