He worshiped God on the battlefields and in the bazaar, for David did not separate his life into the secular and the sacred; all of life was sacred to David and his response to that sacredness was the worship of God. David was a lover of God who sought to keep his expressions of love fresh, vital and varied.

The more David worshiped God, the more he knew Him and loved Him.
