Description

Collection of horror films by Italian director Mario Bava.

In 'Black Sunday' (1960), when 17th-century woman Asa Vajda (Barbara Steele) is accused of being a witch she is sentenced to burn at the stake.

After a storm puts out the fire, she is then entombed, only to be revived 200 years later.

Surviving by feeding on blood, Asa plots to take over the body of one of her descendants in a bid to become immortal.

Can passing doctor Andre Gorobec (John Richardson) save the young girl and stop Asa's evil scheme?

In 'The Girl Who Knew Too Much' (1963) Nora Davis (Letícia Román), a young American woman holidaying in Rome, believes she has witnessed a murder.

Although initially no one will believe her, it appears that the crime she claims to have witnessed is similar to the work of a serial killer who was at large in the city ten years previously.

The person, known as the Alphabet Killer, has already worked through victims with surnames beginning with A, B and C.

Does this mean Davis is now a target? In 'Kill, Baby, Kill!' (1966), the inhabitants of a modern day Carpathian village are terrified for their lives as a series of ghastly murders rock the village.

The killer demon is the vengeful ghost of Baroness Graps (Gianna Vivaldi)'s murdered daughter, Melissa (Valerio Valeri), who wants to collect all the souls of the hapless villagers.

Ruth (Fabienne Dali) is a sorceress who must use all her powers to try and free the village from the evil curse and supernatural powers of the Graps.

In 'Five Dolls for an August Moon' (1970), when George Stark (Tedoro Corra) invites a group of people for a weekend getaway on his private island, he hopes to use the opportunity to talk Professor Gerry Farrell (William Berger) into selling his latest invention.

But one-by-one the guests are mysteriously killed off and put into the walk-in freezer, leaving the few survivors to find the killer amongst them before he or she strikes again.

In 'A Bay of Blood' (1971), when an old heiress is murdered, 13 candidates arrive in hope of inheriting her fortune and instead come face-to-face with a dedicated serial killer.

Meanwhile, a gaggle of beach-partying hippies are murdered in a variety of grisly manners.

In 'Lisa and the Devil' (1972), after becoming separated from her tourist group in Toledo, Lisa Reiner (Elke Sommer) ends up at an old mansion where the mysterious Leandro (Telly Savalas) works as a butler.

Allowed to stay the night, Lisa soon finds herself in grave danger as a number of strange and horrifying events begin to unfold around her.

Finally, in 'Rabid Dogs' (1974), following a botched robbery, three thieves - Dottore (Maurice Poli), Bisturi (Don Backy) and Trentadue (George Eastman) - take a woman (Lea Lander) hostage and hijack a man (Riccardo Cucciolla)'s car in their attempt to get away.

As the man, under their orders, drives them out of the city to a safe location, he becomes increasingly concerned for his sickly son who is in desperate need of medical attention.
