Mary Shelley, DVD DVD

Elle Fanning stars as writer Mary Shelley in this romantic drama that depicts her relationship with poet Percy Bysshe Shelley (Douglas Booth).

The film follows 16-year-old aspiring writer Mary as she is sent to live in Scotland after falling out with her father and stepmother in London.

There, she falls in love with Percy after meeting him at a party and, after a short time back in London, the pair decide to run away together.

On a trip to Lord Byron (Tom Sturridge)'s estate in Geneva, she conceives the idea for her seminal novel 'Frankenstein' but faces a desperate struggle to get it published with due credit.
