Ave Verum Corpus, Sheet music Book

Ave Verum Corpus Sheet music

Sheet music

Description

Composed for Wheaton College, Morten Lauridsen’s Ave Verum Corpus is written for choir and string orchestra (or organ) with finger cymbals.

The traditional Latin text is expressed with intricate melodic lines supported by lush harmonies.

The atmospheric, newly composed antiphon that begins and ends the 10-minute piece should be performed like a traditional Gregorian chant.

This stirring, uplifting piece would be a popular addition to any concert programme. The Faber Choral Signature Series introduces a wealth of new or recently written choral music to choirs in search of fresh repertoire.

The series draws in a rich diversity of contemporary composers and includes both lighter and more challenging contemporary works, offering a thrilling array of varied styles.
