My absolute most favorite yet! It really appealed to my love of hurt-comfort fic. And it was lovely to get to glimpse another part of the world. Two thumbs up.

A good one - I really like the series, and this one was a very nice read. The love story was nicely done (a little on the romantic side, not so very passionate imo) and the suspense/action part was good, too.

Full Review to be posted soon:

Archangel's Storm, is a much quieter toned entry in this series, although no less intense or passionate. Although it is not my favourite book in the series, I loved the romance between Mahiya and Jason, which was sweet, and subtle.

I've really enjoyed this series. I have wanted to learn more about Jason and we do learn a lot about him in this book. His past is heartbreaking and I teared up when his entire past is reveled. I'm not a huge fan of Mahiya's. I just didn't really get into her character. I also enjoyed the short amount of time we get to spend with Venom. He is another character I would like to learn a lot more about. I am grateful that the next book goes back to Raphael and Elena. I miss the city and the wider array of characters that seem to come in their book.

If I had to choose only one reason why I love this book, it would have to be Mahiya. She is one of the most wonderful female characters I've read in any paranormal romance. I feel better for reading about her. I feel better because an author made a character like her. But that's only if I had to choose.

Neha's consort Eris, who hadn't been seen for the last three hundred years, is murdered and Raphael sends Jason to investigate. The only way for Neha to allow some other archangel's spymaster into her territory is to swear a blood oath. Jason accepts, but not to Neha, but to her niece Mahiya. Anything I write about her predicament will be a spoiler, so I'll just say that Nalini Singh creates really wonderful characters (as if that is something new).

Jason is not a new character and following the pattern from the previous books, we find out more about him and his past. It is heartbreaking, but he never becomes pathetic. I really did not expect this story to be this good, nor the romance this beautiful because Mahiya is a completely unknown character.
