Classic Tractors A to Z, Paperback / softback Book

Classic Tractors A to Z Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

This book roams the globe to portray the 100 greatest, most significant and interesting vintage farm tractor makes.

These range from Allis-Chalmers in the United States, through Ferguson in the United Kingdom, to Zetor of Czechoslovakia.

Nick Baldwin and Andrew Morland, both tractor experts, describe and illustrate the development and history of this wide range of marques and models.

The tractors are presented in the book in a country by country format.

Chapters are devoted to tractors produced in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Sweden and the United States.

The final chapter highlights lesser-known tractor makes from countries such as Austria, the Soviet Union, Finland and the Netherlands. Andrew Morland, that doyen of tractor photographers, showcases these classic machines in his glorious full-colour photographs.

Most of the tractors in the book have been photographed in their country of origin.

These lovingly preserved machines, once everyday workhorses, are now highly valued and collectable. In addition to the contemporary colour photos, Classic Tractors A To Z contains many black and white archive photos and examples of the colourful period advertising designed to sell these tractors when they were in production.

This is another attractive addition to the range of fine tractor books already published by Voyageur Press and distributed in Europe by Midland.
