Description

Canadian family drama. When a lone orca whale is spotted off the coast of Vancouver Island it immediately becomes a hit with the local people and the media.

However, when the Department of Fisheries and Oceans announce their intent to capture the whale, dubbed Luna, Mike Maquinna (Adam Beach), who has returned home for his father's funeral, teams up with a group of his friends to set the whale free.
