When the Saints Go Marching Abroad Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

Each year the top rugby union sides compete at European level for either the "European Champions Cup" or the "European Challengers Cup".

The decision regarding which cup they compete in, is determined by their achievement in their domestic league in the prior year. The format of the competition is based on groups of four on home/away basis leading to a knock-out format for quarter-final/semi-final culminating in a final at a neutral venue.

In any year each club will have the potential for at least two trips. The rugby clubs will be organising supporter trips and these need to be considered.

Although the book is written with the wisdom and the knowledge gained from experience of trips, the base principles are the same for any of the Premiership or senior club teams.

The key advantages of following the formula of this book are - Cost Savings - typically 50% on flights booking early. Flexibility - can change plans if opportunity arises.

Best seats purchased online through host website. Add excursions onto core activity. Optimal hotels only booking 3 or 4 twin rooms. The book is therefore the ultimate rugby travel companion Preface kindly supplied by Nick Beal. Technical support by Jonathon Edward Harling. 64% photographs were taken by the author.
