Description

Based on the National Child Development Study, which followed the progress from birth to maturity of all children born in the UK during 3-9 March, 1958, this ebook is about children and about Britain. Now of historical interest, the study highlighted that the adversities of some children extended into almost every aspect of their health, family circumstances and educational development.

The study explored the enormous inequalities of life for 'disadvantaged' compared with 'ordinary' children and questioned some of the priorities, perspectives and seeming indifference of British society itself.
