Native Land : Stop Eject, Paperback / softback Book

Native Land : Stop Eject Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

In November 2008, the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain will present Native Land, an exhibition that will explore humans' attachment to the Earth and its role in forming one's identity, as well as human migrations and the trajectories that they generate.

These issues will be explored by Raymond Depardon, director and photographer, and Paul Virilio, urban planner and philosopher.

Composed mainly of moving images, either created especially for the occasion or obtained from various sources, the show will offer a unique consideration of what it means to have a homeland.

The catalogue Native Land reflects the diversity of these various themes.

Reuniting several authors, including Michael Agier, Bruce Albert, Marc Auge and Paul Virilio, this book will use the exhibition as a point of departure to explore the different facets of issues linked to the importance of one's native land.
