Description

We had just reached altitude on this third flight when an explosion rocked the cockpit. It came from behind me and blew the headphones right off of my head. I ducked down into my seat in an attempt to avoid the blast. Next thing I knew I felt a razor sharp blade at my throat.

The ringing in my ears was immense. I felt like a freight train was passing right through my skull. I was badly disoriented as I remained crouched over the yoke in front of me.

"Move and you're dead!" was all that I heard, and I remained still.

I noticed out of my left peripheral vision that the pilot was being manhandled and removed from the pilot's seat. My head was pounding as my senses began to return. The first thing that I saw was that the glass panel in front of me was in a shambles...

...Ash turned to me and saw the blood staining the front of my shirt. He pulled off his shirt and placed it on my neck.

"You okay, Reggie?" he asked.

"No," I croaked.
