Description

Damascus Redemption is the story of two men struggling to deal with the traumatic events that have ruined both their lives.

It is a parallel story set in Iraq of 2007 and the Holy Land in 1191 at the time of the Third Crusade, commonly known as the King's Crusade.

The modern character, Mason - an SAS soldier - asked to leave the elite regiment when in trying to deal with the loss of his family his reliance on alcohol gets the better of him.

He is tempted into the cut-throat world of private security in post-invasion Iraq.

He reluctantly takes his team on a mission that goes horribly wrong.

The ensuing ambush leaving a trail of death and destruction. He escapes with the help of a mysterious sect who live deep within the marshes of Iraq.

Their self-imposed isolation allowing them to guard an ancient secret given to them by the crusading knight 800 years before. Mason learns that two of his men survived but have been taken prisoner.

He sets out to rescue them, only to have his efforts thwarted by the security company’s boss - another ex-SAS man – who, in desperation not to upset the impending sale of his company, is desperate for truth not to get out. Framed and discredited, Mason races against the clock to free his men.

His hastily-assembled team, dodges assassins as they make their way across Syria and Iraq.

Their journey repeating that of the crusading knight, 800 years before.
