Over en natt blir en stor andel finlandare hemlosa. Allt har sin upprinnelse i att Finland maste valja sida i konflikten mellan Nazityskland och arvsfienden Ryssland. Det blir upptakten till en konflikt som inte ska fa sitt ordentliga avslut forran 1948. Finland lyckas emellertid behalla sitt oberoende och sin demokratiska form, trots att den blodiga konflikten mot Sovjetunion tar ut sin ratt pa det forhallandevis lilla landets utsatta befolkning. Detta ar en berattelse om kamp, hjaltemod och politik fran en av Sveriges framsta finlandsexperter.

Oscar Allan Sandstrom (1933-2014) var en svensk forfattare och journalist. Allan borjade arbeta som journalist 1957 men hade alltid ett sarskilt intresse for historia. Sedan sin debut har han skrivit ett flertal bocker inom olika historiska amnesomraden, och 2004 tilldelades han Lars Widdingpriset for historisk forfattarskap.
