Scenesters: Music, Mayhem and Melrose Ave. 1985-1990 DVD

Directed by Desi Benjamin

DVD

Description

Desi Benjamin directs this documentary about the music scene in Los Angeles in the late 1980s.

As punk got too violent and was pushed out of the clubs, new wave became less popular and people sought a new style of music.

With bands like Guns N' Roses and Jane's Addiction bursting onto the scene, Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, with its wide variety of clubs, became the place to be seen.

This documentary takes a look back at some of these clubs and how they influenced the culture still around today.
