Description

This book contains the Ekkart Committee's final report with an overview of its activities.

The tasks of the Committee included the supervision of the conducted research into the provenance of the so-called NK Collection (works of art recovered from Germany after World War II that are still under the custodianship of the State of the Netherlands) as well as to give recommendations to the Dutch government concerning the policy to be applied with regard to restitution to former owners.

The book is accompanied by a free CD-ROM, which contains the results of the search conducted by the Origins Unknown Agency (Bureau Herkomst Gezocht) with a database with the complete NK Collection.

Each record also includes an object's details, provenance and photograph.

This CD-ROM offers a wide range of search possibilities and includes well-known collections such as Goudstikker, Gutmann, Koenigs, Lanz and Mannheimer.
