Description

Amanda Redman, Amrita Acharia, James Floyd and Neil Morrissey star in this six-part ITV drama set in southern India.

The series follows young junior doctor Ruby Walker (Acharia) as she moves to India after becoming disillusioned with her life in the UK.

There, she begins working at The Good Karma Hospital, under the tutelage of fellow English ex-pat Dr Lydia Fonseca (Redman) who runs the institution.

In this series, a heatwave sees the hospital treating dozens of patients suffering from heatstroke, Ruby performs her first operation and Lydia is furious when she hears that Anila (Shabana Azmi), her former colleague, is now practising herbal remedy and is attempting to steal her patients.
