The main reference source (outside of the Bible) is the Catechism of the Catholic Church (note: the abbreviation CCC, used frequently in this study, refers to the Catechism of the Catholic Church). The recommended Scripture version is the approved Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition Bible.
