Description

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility.

The following series of papers are reprinted from the Dial, where they appeared, from time to time, during 1919.

They discuss the American industrial situation as it stood at that time, during the months immediately following the Armistice; and more particularly certain difficulties involved in the industrial situation as it stood at that time.

But, since then, no substantial change has taken effect in the state of industry, of such a character as to make this discussion less pertinent now than it was at the time these papers were first printed; indeed, the difficulties involved in or arising out of the industrial situation have only come forward into fuller bearing since then.

Therefore, these papers are here reprinted with-out change.
