Magic Oxygen Literary Prize Anthology: The Writing Competition That Created a Word Forest Paperback / softback

Edited by Izzy Robertson

Part of the Magic Oxygen Literary Prize Anthology series

Paperback / softback

Description

This remarkable anthology contains the shortlisted and winning entries from the Magic Oxygen Literary Prize 2014-15.

There are 10 short stories and 10 poems in total and the top 5 in each category won the following: 1st prize GBP1,000, 2nd GBP300, 3rd GBP100, highly commended 2 x GBP50.

Entries for the competition arrived from 31 countries and there are 4 countries represented on the combined shortlists.

There were 22 judges from the UK and around the world comprising authors, some with international best selling credentials, editors, publishers, professional and performance poets, readers and critics.

It is anticipated that there will be a great deal of media coverage for the prize and the anthology, particularly in the sustainable field.

Its environmentally friendly USP came in a commitment to plant a tree for every entry in a tropical Word Forest.

The GPS coordinates were sent to every entrant shortly after the competition closed and a further commitment was made to build an urgently needed classroom at the Kundeni School in Bore, Kenya.
