Even there the bullying and abuse continued. She became an EMT and worked on an ambulance, where she met her future husband. They married and set about building a family. However, her happiness was short-lived. After several miscarriages, she finally was pregnant with a girl but, before the baby was born, Carol lost her husband to a medical complication and then her baby was diagnosed with a severe medical condition that would not allow it's survival. She buried her husband and a short time later delivered her stillborn child. She placed the child with her husband. Working in law enforcement, she continued her life and eventually overcoming anxiety, PTSD, depression and the male-dominated mindset of her profession, she has proven to all others that she is a strong capable woman able to rise in the ranks on her own efforts. To all her abusers, detractors and those who took advantage of her, she has proven them all wrong.
