Where being openly gay can cause you major problems.
It is into this world that Joe Nathan is born. Like most kids in the Savannah ghetto, Joe Nathan and his younger sibling, Michael, grew up without a father.
Michael longs for Joe Nathan to spend time with him like his friends' older brothers do.
There seems to be no chance of that happening; Joe Nathan's interests are more along the lines of creating stained glass and nurturing an ever-growing butterfly collection.
