Alain de Cadenet and Francesco da Mosta present this documentary about the history of the Targa Florio, the longest-running road race in the world.

Held on Sicily from 1906 until 1977, it was considered one of the most difficult and dangerous races in the world until it was stopped in 1977 due to safety concerns.

The history of the race and its founder Vincenzo Florio is explored, as well as the course itself.
