Description

Charlie Reade appears to be a typical high school student who excels at baseball and football and is a respectable student. But he is carrying a big load. When he was ten years old, his mother was killed in a hit-and-run accident, and his father's grief led to alcoholism. Charlie picked up self-care skills while also teaching his father. When Charlie is seventeen years old, he meets Radar the dog and Howard Bowditch, an elderly recluse who lives alone in a sizable home at the top of a sizable hill with a closed shed in the backyard. Strange sounds occasionally emanate from it. Charlie begins working for Mr. Bowditch and falls in love with Radar. After that, Bowditch leaves Charlie a cassette tape on which he tells a story that no one would ever believe.

In the shed, there is a portal to another planet, which Bowditch is aware of and has kept a secret his entire long existence.

In Fairy Tale, King's narrative skills shine. A brave child, along with his dog, must lead the fight against overpowering evil in this stunning and horrifying story.

What could you write during the Pandemic that would make you happy? King wondered himself early on. "I saw a sizable desolate metropolis that was alive but deserted, as if my imagination had been waiting for the question to be posed. I observed the deserted streets, the eerie structures, and a gargoyle head lying on its side in the roadway. I observed destroyed statues (of whatever I later learned). A massive, expansive mansion with glass towers whose tops pierced the clouds was what I saw. The story I sought to tell was made public by those pictures.
