Johnny Carson mentioned them on The Tonight Show. Even President Richard Nixon got a Whoopees T-shirt. It was a love affair fashioned with an odd fit, especially in the deep South, where folks typically think ice is simply something you put in your tea.

The true story of the whoopees is being published during the 25th anniversary, the 1998-1999 season, of the team.
