Directed by Jerry Rothwell

DVD

Description

Jerry Rothwell writes and directs this documentary about the history of Greenpeace.

The film chronicles the rise and birth of the environmental organisation which began as the Don't Make a Wave Committee in the early 1970s when a group of friends protested against American nuclear testing on the Alaskan island of Amchitka.

Featuring archive footage and interviews with the eco-minded group's founding members, the feature documents some of their early endeavours and most notable campaigns including their efforts to end whale poaching and to save the native seals of Newfoundland.
