Description

James Hawes directs this British drama which portrays the true story of Sir Nicholas Winton, a British man who helped hundreds of vulnerable children escape the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia.

During a visit to Prague in 1938, Nicholas (Johnny Flynn) was driven to help Trevor Chadwick (Alex Sharp) and Doreen Warinner (Romola Garai) in their efforts to save as many children as possible from the looming threat of the Nazis and transport them to safe countries.

Despite his role in ensuring the safety of 669 children, Nicholas struggles to come to terms with the knowledge that many more were left behind.

Five decades later, however, Nicholas (Anthony Hopkins) is invited to a special edition of a live television show where a life changing surprise awaits him.
