This 2008 production of Offenbach's satirical operetta is directed by Laurent Pelly and conducted by Sebastien Rouland.

This was Offenbach's first full-length piece to portray contemporary Parisian life, unlike his earlier period and mythologically-themed pieces, and went on to become one of his most popular works.
