Description

This album by Roscoe Mitchell's 25-piece orchestra is the follow-up to their 2017 release 'Discussions'. The Penguin Guide to Jazz described Roscoe as 'one of the key figures' in avant-garde jazz and is known for co-founding the Art Ensemble of Chicago and the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM). The album was recorded in the Littlefield Auditorium at Mills College in Oakland, California, where the saxophonist has taught since 2007.
